![]() I'd suggest maybe playing on MTGO if you want to keep a proper dredge deck for <$100 (my list is around $97 - only 2-3 fetches, the rest are shocks and 6 basics). It is a very strong deck, and all the dredge decks rarely (if ever) vary any mainboard choices, besides lands. These decks will be comepletely different from the real thing and may not even play out how the meta deck does. I would completely steer clear of these lists, as they are not "dredge" at heart. I'm not saying you can't snag a win at an FNM with a deck like this every now and then, but I would suggest you look into some decks that were built with a budget in mind from the start, rather than a downgraded version of a "real" deck. Modern is a really fast format, missing out on that one mana can make or break a lot of games. Hellspark can only be recurred once, which will hinder your long games quite significantly, since you will also miss out on some Amalgam recursions.įurthermore, without Loam your Conflagrates will be underpowered which means you will lack both board control as well as finishing power.ĭon't play Evolving Wilds as a replacement for real fetchlands. Also since dredge is so popular right now there is also a lot of hate for it, which means its even worse to try to get away with an underpowered version.
